Josiah Wolf - Jet Lag

Finally it's here! Jet Lag, the debut album from Josiah Wolf. What can I say except that talent runs deep in the Wolf family. I really like this album, and it will accompany me this year and put a smile on my lips whenever I listen to it.

Canadian Candy

For all fans of Pip Skid, here's an oldie but goodie. His I'm Mean mixtape from 2005 is candy people.

And if you're in the mood for more treats from Canada, you ought to check out Kaleb Simmonds first album The Race where he gets some help from Gordski, Tachichi, Scratch Bastid, Kunga 219 and Buck 65.

Survival of the Dead

Survival of the Dead

Review: It's good to see old George A. Romero back doing what he does best.

Les Triplettes de Belleville

Les Triplettes de Belleville

Review: Really charming with it's twisted sense of humour. I liked it!

Army of the Pharaohs - The Unholy Terror

I'm listening to The Unholy Terror, the latest offering from Army of the Pharaohs. I don't know what I think about it to be honest. It's far from bad. I guess that today it only bores me. Will probably like it better later on. I like Grand Finales production on Godzilla though.

Prosperous - Reanimated Hex

From my friend Prosperous latest release Mouthmanners EP, which you can download for free here, comes the video to Reanimated Hex.

The Pacific

Finally here!!!

The Pacific

I promised to get back to you regarding the new album from Invasionen. Now I've listened to it many times and I have to say that I'm not the least bit disappointed. Perhaps it will be an album that I will get tired of soon enough, but right now it's on constant rotation in my headphones. Who would have thought that I would enjoy punkrock in Swedish? Not me, that's for sure. But I love Hela Världen Brinner.

Rollin' Rockers - BANGBANG!

Want some good free music? My man Phillip Drummond just hooked me up with his latest project Rollin' Rockers that he has together with Lush One and Plex Rock. Their demo BANGBANG! EP is truly off the hook and you are missing out if you don't check it out. If you happen to read this and be in California you should go and see them opening up for Looptroop Rockers, Timbuktu, Chords and Adam Tensta. Link to the event here.

Edge of Darkness

Edge of Darkness

Review: It's been a couple of years since I really bothered with any movies from Mr anti-Semitic homophob himself, Mel Gibson. But I heard some good stuff about this flick and decided to check it out. So how was it then? Well, worth checking out. Nothing more, nothing less.

Cop Out

Cop Out

Review: Really crappy. A big disappointment considering that Kevin Smith directed it.

Law and Order Fest 2010

It's been a lot of hardcore for me lately. Kind of going back to some roots, or more like going back to like 1994 or something. On Saturday 27 March it's time for Law and Order Fest 2010 at Fängelset. Amongst the acts performing are Stay Hungry, Retaliate, Forever Young and Commitment Crew. Could be fun. If I get there that is.

Zombies of Mass Destruction

Zombies of Mass Destruction

Review: Your typical zombieflick. Not one of the better ones though.

Awol One & Ecid feat. Gel Roc - Staring Death in the Bulls Eye

Tonight at Hagabion it's time for Edge the Movie. Could be good, could be totally boring. The only way to find out is to turn up. I'll be there.

So now it's finally here. The first album of 2010 that I've really looked forward to. I'll get back to you with a review as soon as I've listened to it a couple of times.

My Vinyl Weighs A Ton

Yeah, I know. My fixation with Umeå punk and hardcore don't seem to end. But then again, you can never go wrong with some white vinyl. Right?

Big Up Pelpa Karnaval

As you may see, I have a new header now for the page. I felt it was time to make the look a bit different at least. The artist behind it is the one and only Pelpa Karnaval from Ortho Acusto. Thank you man!

GRAVES - Contrary to Popular Belief

Check this album out! It's the bomb! AND, you're allowed to download it. Please enjoy. This album by GRAVES is definitely the album of the week!

Avatar: The Verdict

Finally I got to see Avatar, the movie everyone else saw months ago. Was it the best movie of 2009 then? No. It was however the visually most beautiful movie. But to call it the best movie would be like calling Independence Day the best movie of 1996. Patriotic nonsense is patriotic nonsense no matter the package. I wasn't disappointed with the movie though. It was just as I expected.

Wednesday, March 03, 2010

Ages after everyone else saw it, I will tonight finally get around to see Avatar. I'll let you know what I thought about it tomorrow.

I'm really looking forward to start watching the show Misfits that my friend Samuel suggested to me. Looks really promising.
